Workshop 6 Low Vision Rehabilitation Workshop


This workshop will discuss the principles, concepts and applications of managing and rehabilitating visual impairment. Participants will learn the overview of low vision rehabilitation, assessments and interventions, low vision aids, integration and participation in mainstream education. The interdisciplinary role of optometry, occupational therapy, orientation and mobility training, and community-based rehabilitation in managing individuals with low vision will also be presented. Hands-on sessions and case studies will be used to highlight specific assessments and rehabilitative strategies.
